Cbank: Demand decrease Q2 to affect 2020, Jan–Jun 2021 inflation

MOSCOW, Jun 22 (PRIME) -- The decline of foreign and domestic demand in April–June will significantly influence Russia’s inflation in 2020 and January–June 2021, the central bank said in a statement Monday.

"Inflation dynamics this year and in the first half of 2021 will be formed in many respects under the influence of lower domestic and foreign demand that took place in the second quarter," the document read.

Monthly growth of consumer prices will continue to decelerate soon, while annual inflation is to rise in 2020 on the back of a low base effect of July–December 2019.
